"AI Camp was so enjoyable, as it was a time to learn more about coding in the real world with partners. One of the best parts is the passion of everyone, giving an enjoyable and great working / learning environment. It's surprising how one's learning ability and project creating can be so great in such short time!"

I am a student at Woodinville High School who enjoys soccer, piano, hiking, camping, math, and of course, Computer Science. I worked on the frontend(mostly the About us page and contributed some to the data page), some data science, and the some of the math / statistics of the project.

"AI camp was a very unique and amazing experience for me as I learned so much without lectures. The amount of stuff I learned in just these 3 weeks is crazy. I got to use my python skills and implement them while learning more. AI camp has the perfect environment one needs to learn while having fun."

Dhairya

I am a student at Baton Rouge Magnet High School and I enjoy coding, math, biking, and playing tennis. I was part of the Data Science team and worked on training models and analyzing their performance to choose the best one. I also helped the web/dev team with the OurJourney page and the Data page.

Andrew Wood

"AI Camp has a unique teaching environment, where you are expected to use one of the greatest resources out there (the internet() to aid in your learning. This, paired with an amazing patient instructor (thanks Hyrum) along with group mates who share your love for coding helped produce the product you see now."

I am a student at Woodinville High School who enjoys coding, math, playing soccer, hiking, and the piano. I was the project manager, and contributed to data extraction, cleaning, and model training, as well as website work; in the frontend I contributed to the home page and about page, and in the backend I helped create redirects for the website. I also built our logo. (Btw, I'm not affilitated with UU in any way.)

"AI Camp is way different from other classes I have taken in the sense we have to learn most things by ourselves. The fact that I went from knowing almost nothing in python to training an AI in just the span of three weeks is nothing short of incredible!"

Rex

I am a student at California High School (yes, it's an actual school lol) who enjoys math, biking, playing the piano and coding. I was one of the Data Scientists and helped gather and clean data, training and optimizing the model. I also helped with the webdev team on the OurJourney and Results page.

Nabiha Jawad

"AI Camp introduced me to some concepts I had no idea ever existed. As someone, who loves math, I really enjoyed learning about how I can work with AI in areas that I am passionate about. This was truly unlike any experience I've ever had!"

Nabiha

I am a student at Santa Clara High School and I enjoy playing table tennis, hiking, and math. I was the mathematician/statistician and helped with the website as well.

Reign O'Keefe

"AI Camp was a great Journey, and i have always been a self-taught programmer but with AI Camp working with your instructor and teammates you can learn a whole programming language in just three weeks. Another big plus is I am able to add this amazing experience onto my portfolio and use this experience for other projects!!"

Reign

I am a student at Core Charter School who enjoys Music, Hydroponics, Basketball, History, and of course, Computer Science mainley Web Dev. I worked on the front-end of the website, and i worked on helping to train the AI.

Hyrum Hansen

"Teaching at AI camp has been a fun, formative experience. I've learned useful software engineering skills while building meaningful relationships with mentors, colleagues, and students. I couldn't ask for a better way to spend the summer before grad school!"

Hyrum Hansen

Hyrum has enjoyed instructing the wireless-invaders. His team has consistently demonstrated superior work-ethic, ingenuity, and a desire to learn. He couldn't be prouder of the work they've accomplished in just three weeks! Hyrum looks forward to seeing the amazing things they will do, encouraging adherence to the age-old-proverb: "A responsible adult says NO to non-euclidean space."
